Rasheena Nash is a director, screenwriter, producer and innovative mind in the American film and television industry. In 2015 her short film, Just Call Me Darling, debuted at Sundance’s Indie Lounge winning her work many admirers and affording her the opportunity to direct an international touring mini-series for Netflix based off of YouTube stars the Hodge Twins. Spinning off of that, 2016 has been nothing but a career climb for her! Rasheena was able to shadow the directing talent of the long awaited feature film All Eyez On Me: The Tupac Biopic from writing to completion. She was accepted into SXSW and the 69th Festival de Cannes Short Film Corner with her latest film My Last Day. From there she was hired as a writer & producer on Mara Brock Akil’s new Youtube Red Web Series The GodComplex.

Named after the movie “Sheena, Queen of the Jungle,” she was destined to be in the world of moving pictures and found love in directing at the age of 11. By 16, Rasheena had completed her first documentary entitled BROKEN HEARTED: JASMIN’S VERSION, earning her many awards, scholarships and gaining the attention of celebrity socialites from around the world.

While working on her own short films and spending countless hours writing screenplays, Rasheena continued learning by working on major films, scripted television shows, and reality shows shadowing directors, writers and producers setting out a goal to learn about every department and how they played into the final product of movie making. She is constantly creating and shooting as she prepares for her first feature directorial debut to be released in the beginning of 2017.

She believes in imagery, knowledge/expertise, imagination, and storytelling which reflects on the silver screen. It is safe to say that we all can expect great things from “Queen Sheena.” Her ambition and drive separates her from the pack and motivates others to chase their own dreams. #THESUPERDUPERDREAMCHASE
